I am an abstract painter. I received my BFA in Painting from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. I now live in Austin, TX, and paint primarily in oil, acrylic and encaustic. 
I think a lot of times young artists get confused about who they are versus what they think the so-called artworld wants them to be. And I think if young artists listened to themselves a little bit and did what they really wanted to do, it would be a more interesting artworld and they’d have a more interesting life.
