My Interview on the Weather Channel aired this past Monday.  I think they did a very nice job with it.

See it on the Weather Channel website (I’m after the 30-second commercial):view my Interview on the Weather Channel

And here are two images of the painting you see me creating in this interview; it took about another week to complete this painting:

Congratulations. Your interview, your art, the story were fantastic. I also really liked watching how you create. I lived in the Dallas area and now live in Florida and have been through tornado clean up, including my backyard. Whenever we would see or will see the green sky we run for cover, knowing what that means. Your pieces photographed so well, hope this stirs up lots of interest.

  • Denise says:

Your work is beautiful, Marilyn. I've lived in Illinois my entire life and tornadoes are a scary fact of life here. Best of luck with your goal of a painting in the White House! ~Denise – also an encaustic painter

Look for echoes. Sometimes the same shape or direction will echo through the picture.

  • Thank you for sharing this great story! I think its interesting how unfinished art to the artist, is finished art once anyone else see’s it. And it would undermine you as the artist to go back and change it if they already thought it was finished. Sometimes this is why i don’t like to let people see unfinished work until I can show the completed piece.
