Working in Wax Exhibit Continues Through June 21

The Working in Wax Exhibit at the Bedford Gallery in Walnut Creek, CA -- in which I have three paintings displayed -- continues through June 21, 2009, so you can still catch it if you are in the Northern California area.  There's a Culture + Cocktails Reception for “Working in Wax” on June 18, 6:00—8:00 p.m.

I’m on Cloud Nine from the 5×7 Art Splurge at the Arthouse!

Thursday night, my husband and I went to the Artists Preview party for the 2009 5x7 show at the Arthouse.  I was most surprised and thrilled to see that my two little paintings got a primo spot in the exhibition!  On the main wall, under the writing, top shelf.  They looked so good there!

Fused Expressions Opening and Show

Texas WAX Austin Artists First Exhibit at Bay6 Gallery and Studios
What a great opening! So many people showed up, and once again, Sharon had some of my work very prominently displayed, for which I feel deeply honored! The yellow poppy paintings on the front wall are mine. View some random photos from the event (click on the thumbnails):

Five Austin Painters Show in Fort Worth

Jill Alo, Kathleen Claps, Linda Anderson, Bill Wahlgren and I had a big show at the Fort Worth Community Art Center on October 3rd (the day the Dow fell 777 points!).  View a few pictures below that I was able to snap during the few slow times.

Art Opening of Netroots Nation/Texas Kaos After Party & Art Exhibit

What a great show!  My large piece "What Have We Become?" was prominently featured on the main wall and was big hit with the Netroots Nation folks.  One guy even gave me a huge hug when he found I was the artist of that piece. I had my 5 paintings of nuclear bombs in this show, along with the piece mentioned above and a image transfer/encaustic piece of "Chernobyl."
